Swim Team Awards
AWARDS FOR SWIM TEAM STARS:
*Purple MBC "Swim Jerseys" can be purchased at Over the Mountain Sporting Goods in Crestline, next to Snoozy’s. We recommend a large size, and many children wear them like long cover-ups vs. t-shirts.
Achievement
stars and season patches can be ironed or sewn onto the jersey to
motivate and show team spirit!
STARS FOR MEETS:
ROYAL BLUE – Swimmer's best time in any TWO strokes in any meet for any
age (by season, does not have to be a personal best).
RED: 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in an Invitational meet (in each event).
SMALL GOLD: Triple winner in a Dual meet (1st place in 3 events).
ORANGE: Senior County Qualifier (1 star total, no matter how many
events are qualified for)
GREEN: Attending Senior County.
PRACTICE STARS:
WHITE STAR:
Purple and White Teams – 20 practices for 1 star, 30 practices for 2 stars.
Green Team – 15 practices for 1 star, 20 practices for 2 stars.
Minnows – 10 practices for 1 star, 15 practices for 2 stars.
STARS FOR ACHIEVEMENT TURQUOISE -
Swimming the mile: SHINY LARGE GOLD STAR
High Point Winner: SHINY LARGE SILVER STAR
High Point Runner-up: PURPLE/WHITE STRIPE
Swimmer and Guppy of the week: KELLY GREEN - Swimmer’s age 6 and under who swim the length of the pool for the first time without assistance (during the scheduled mile swim dates).
DUAL MEET RIBBONS
Ribbons are given out for 1st - 6th place in each event. For relays, only 1st
place ribbons are awarded.
SWIMMER/GUPPY OF THE WEEK JERSEY:
Swimmer and Guppy of the Week jerseys are awarded by the coaches
each Friday at the end of practice to the swimmers who exhibited
exceptional effort, sportsmanship, and participation that week during
practice and meet(s). The jerseys are kept by the swimmers for one week
and should be returned clean to the coaches by Thursday afternoon.
PLEASE return your jersey in a timely manner!
END OF SEASON AWARDS:
*Note: Families must meet the volunteer requirements for swimmers to be
eligible for End of Season Awards.
Meet Fleet Trophies: Awarded for attending THREE (3) or more meets. This
includes Dual meets, Invitational meets, Mock Meet, Fun meets and Senior County.
INDIVIDUAL/COACHES CHOICE TROPHIES: Awarded at the Coach's discretion
